Have you ever smelled a fragrance that was "good enough to eat"?
Chances are, that scent was a gourmand. A gour-what?

Ok, let me break it down for you. Outside of the fragrance world, the term gourmand means a connoisseur of good food. Similarly, the gourmand fragrance family uses synthetic or natural notes to evoke the scent of something edible.

Today, gourmands are one of the most popular and fastest-growing fragrance families–think vanillas. Thus, it may come as a surprise that gourmand scents didn't start appearing notably in the fragrance realm until the late 1900's. When perfumers were exploring notes in the amber family, they began to experiment with dessert-inspired fragrances like caramel and chocolate. Hence, the most delicious family in perfume was born.

Gourmands are delicious year-round, but really come out to play during the cooler months due to their warm and sweet nature. As the air grows colder, the warmth of rich gourmands just shines brighter.

Vanilla:
One of the most popular and recognized scents in the gourmand family and a timeless favorite is vanilla. Vanilla as a flavor, while widely loved, is generally regarded as safe and reliable. Some may go as far as to call a vanilla ice cream flavor choice boring! (To this, I would respond that these people may have not tried the right Vanilla...) Regardless, vanilla in fragrance is far from boring. Warm, rich, and sweet, this note is downright delectable on its own. However, when paired with other notes like fruit, citrus, or even wood, it becomes absolutely irresistible. As one of our best-selling collections, we have every facet of vanilla for you to explore.

Coconut:
The gourmand of paradise. Creamy, tender, and sweet–say hello to coconut. With its light powdery essence, coconut is a beautiful addition to any accord. In addition to carrying an essence of sweetness, coconut adds a touch of youthful playfulness to any fragrance. With your skin kissed with the essence of powdery coconut, you will smell simply good enough to eat.

Chocolate:
Warm, rich, and oh-so-sweet. The iconic dessert note: chocolate. Chocolate fragrances draw from the cocoa bean note, bitter in nature. Yet, when you layer cocoa over sweeter notes like sugar or vanilla, the accord becomes closer to the classic chocolate that everyones knows and loves.
